The Darien All-Town Orchestra Festival will be held on Thursday, February 25 in the Main Gym at Darien High School. In order to accommodate the large number of audience members there will be two separate performance seating. The first seating will be at 6:30 p.m. and the second performance will be at 8:00 p.m. Each program will last approximately 50 minutes.
Over 400 string students from grades 4-12 throughout the district have been preparing for this exciting festival performance and will be involved in a combined rehearsals in the Darien High School main gym during the school day on that same day.
The featured ensembles will include the combined Fourth and Fifth Grade Orchestra students, the Middlesex Middle School Orchestras, The MMS Rockestra, The DHS Pops Strings, and the DHS Orchestra. The program will conclude with a finale featuring all 400 string students performing “Uptown Funk.”
